Back to Basics

After much consideration, I've decided that I need to look at all current WIP's. There are many, and the only way to move ahead and finish them, is to mark them in number of priority.

I'm almost done with the historical novella and once it's subbed out, I plan on going back to finish off some dark lit.

My question is: What are you working on and what will you start next?

  1. Yay for your dark lit! :D

My current project looks to be my post apocalyptic "sorta" comedy. It's still in the planning stages, so nothing to reveal just yet. :-)

Next depends on a few things, but it'll either be a Solus sequel or my dimension hopping WIP that I trunked a while back. :)

  2. I'm like you, I have a number of projects on the go, and prioritizing them is not an easy task!

My current WIP is the edits of my NaNo novel from two years ago. I'd like to have it done before this year's NaNo, which will be my next project. :-)

  3. I agree. Sometimes the best thing for a WIP is stepping back and prioritizing.

I'm going through revisions, and working on substantive things, like characterization and flow and voice. It's a big undertaking, but I have to believe the book will be better because of it!

  4. Looks like I'm in good company when I confess to having lots of projects in the works.

I decided just the other night to focus on a back-burner wip that sits just under 15k. Everything is in place and it's time to turn the monster loose. :D

  5. We're all busy :) But I think that's a good thing.

  6. I'm taking a short break before hopefully working on the final draft of novel #2 so I can start querying. THEN I'll begin shiny idea!

  7. I had to make decisions too, as I kept working on nearly everything at once, and so got no finished book to show.

I am working on my NaNo 2009 novel, and will be starting NaNo 2010 in November.

  8. I'm having prioritizing issues, as well. I'm getting ready to release one novel as an ebook, and want to have a sequel up and running, but my fire is still lit for turning my recent online experiment into a novel... I need three of me.

  9. I admit, I have many WIPs too. If only to choose, what to work on first! Well, maybe many WIPs are good.
